A Challenge to the "Geniuses"
A Challenge to the "Geniuses" "'geniuses' of them are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Adsense ads on their websites" If you believe this I have some beads I would like to trade with you. Where have all the web "Geniuses" gone. Dead everyone. If not dead hiding from the IRS. Last time I looked at "Fortune" magazine I did not see any webmasters listed there. These webmasters of a different kind are out of the box alright. Why the challenge? I get these crazy emails like: "CONGRATULATIONS!!!(LUCKY WINNER)," "Can I get these 20 great products just for my personal use?" and "Got a Surprise for Ya..." First, I did not apply to be congratulated. Next, I don't need 20 great products, I can create my own. Last, I don't need any surprises and I'm not going to spend any money with you. Why? Because none of these ads address my needs, my issues, and my values. It doesn't take a genius to know that every new system you encounter takes time to learn. When I first started learning to program there were no easy "How To" books or books like "Programing for Dummies." It was just you and the program. To learn you had to get someone to mentor you because at that time even the colleges did not have great programming classes. I started working on my MIS (Master's Information Systems) and I concluded why am I paying these professors when I'm teaching them what I know. So after two semesters I quit. What was I going to do with the degree anyway. I like people and I could not see me sitting in a closed room all day or night. Jumping the hurdles of AdSense can be just as trying as learning to program in a new language. Keep at it though. It will pay off. I learn something new each day about AdSense. Things like "Maintain links to relevant websites" mean nothing to you until you get deeper into the details. You can put your links anywhere, but do you need or want the foot traffic from that area of the web. If it has porno on it, you could get banned from AdSense. Each day try to read at least one article about AdSense and before you know it, you will be the AdSense "Genius."
