Recntly, I read an article about "How To Program Your Man." I stopped to think. What if this said, "How to program your woman." When put into this perspective, I immediately, found that it was offensive to me. But, why the immediate response when it said woman, and not man. Then I realize it was just as offensive when the word woman was replaced by man.
I realize that society gets hung up on language.
It's not the language that bothers me, it's the issue.
If you want to find a solution to a problem, go to the base issue.
I might be wrong here, but I feel the base issues here is:
respect.
Do we respect others?
Are our friends just another toy? Play with them until we become bored.
Do we discard loved ones when they become a burden?
Ask yourself, how would you feel if a government was programing you?
How would you feel if your boss made you sit at a work station the entire day. No breaks, No conversation. No food. No water.
Would you allow this to happen to an animal; dog or cat?
Well, doesn't a person deserve the same respect?
If this were done to a child it is called "Abuse."
This is why, I find the statement, "How To Program You Man," offensive.
I believe in encouraging, be patient, caring, sharing and most of all granting the same freedoms to others as I need for myself.
I've spent my life trying to undo the programs my parents, schools, government and yes my friends have programed my Soul. Programing destroys, in my opinion, the very essence of what makes us human.
That is why, I will always remain 3 years old. The one time in your life, where you can be you and explore the world with new eyes everyday.
