How The MUSEUM, the worlds smallest museum came into being by jGibney

Have you ever wondered why we at The MUSEUM work so hard. I know you see us clicking, checking, evaluating. Why do we need to work so hard? Let me say our mission statement at The MUSEUM is that we are dedicated to encouraging Artists from the youngest to the oldest. The youngest Artist in The MUSEUM turned three years old this year. The oldest will turn eighty-nine later this year. We do not judge the Artist or the Artist's work. We accept all Art as an expression of the Artist's soul. (Did you notice that Artist and Art is capitalized? It is to demonstrate our respect for the Artist and the Art.)

How did The MUSEUM come into being. Several years ago we opened a store just to display our personal photos and Art. One day an oriental gentleman came into the store. He spent some time looking very closely at the Art and photos. Then in very bad English or something, I understood him after four attempts, he wanted to know if I would put his Art up on the walls. We had extra space so I said "Sure." About two week later this same gentleman reappears. This time he has one item framed and three items unframed. He and I immediately put up the framed item. As he was in a hurry to leave I told him I would get some frames and frame his other Art. He smiled at this. I asked his name, but did not understand him. He had to go. He left before I knew his name. Later I looked at the signature on the Art and was not sure but I thought the name on the Art pieces was Remmind Win. This did not see right so when asked about the Artist Art, we would say isn't it great and leave it at that. About three weeks later, there he is standing in the doorway admiring his Art on the wall. It was such a great joy to see him enjoying his own Art. I guess that is when The MUSEUM was born. After many visits about every two week or so, the Artist would come by and admire his Art. Through trial and error we learned that the Artist was Raymond Wein.

You can see Raymond Wein' Art at http://www.zazzle.com/the_museum.

There is more to this story but it will have to wait for a another time.
