Is God, god? It is my understanding that God stands for Greats of deities.
(only is sounds better in Latin.)
Now, people tell you "Don't talk about religion or politics"
They may be right. Religion is as personal as politics.
It has been my experience, most people tend to be the religion their parents were; as well as to their politics.
Having been to 38 countries; going to places of worship; peoples homes and businesses; I noticed that basically most people are religious. (That includes San Francisco and China)
As to what religion, each person expressed it differently. Even mothers and fathers different from the children. Religious leaders different from even those in the same religion. (Notice I did not use Faith.)
Even though each individual expressed their religion differently, they did not, in my opinion, express their faith differently.
Their faith was personal.
So personal, that most could not explain it. Often times they expressed faith as to the formal aspects of religion. But, when pressed it was "I just believe that's all." Even people that say they do not believe in a god, seem to always start by saying, "I believe."
I believe that 99.99999999999 percent of religion is philosophy. Only, .0000000000001 is religion, faith, belief.
I am an Artist. I began to realize that any Art piece, mine or someone else's Art did something special.
That special: captured the Soul. It is then that I understood Art. Art captures the Soul. The Soul of the Viewer; the Soul of the Art and the Soul of the Artist.
What does God, Soul and Art have to do with one another?
It is that God/Universe, Soul and Art are all expressions of our very being. What we express are our Soul experiences. When you cross over the only thing you take are you experiences.
