Obsolete

Obsolete

Have you taken a look at you personal library recently? Pickup one of your favorite books. May have to wipe some dust off the cover. This was once one of two books you loved to read all the time. Maybe you've read it 5 or 6 times. Maybe you read it every day. Read it completely, cover to cover. It's been a while since you even looked at this old friend. Open the book what do you see? Any information about getting a job; how to repair a computer; or how to make friends. I think not. Still to this day with all the computer information "The Bible" is the most purchased and read book in the world. You do not have to be of the Judo-Christian religion or any religion for that matter.

The Bible is about people. The Bible is about people that have to raise children, gather food and interact with other people. The book is about nations just like today. About governments just like today.

Remembering from times past, I remember that a teacher said if you only could take two books with you to a deserted island that you should take the Bible and the works of William Shakespeare. This teacher said that these two books contained all the knowledge of man. Names might change. Places may be different. But the human drama would be the same.

Have these two old friends become obsolete? Have we the human drama become obsolete? Has humankind slipped over the edge and become redundant? These are questions that humankind will explore through myth and metaphor in this new age of electrification. The drama begins now.

Nature is Beautiful;
Art captures the Soul.
